Jazz/soul DJ Blue Boy hails from Glasgow, Scotland, and honed his craft in his hometown as well as London — eventually landing a spot DJing for the renowned British DJ group the Shamen. He has released several singles and EPs since the early '90s ("Ascension," the four-track EP Scattered Emotions, etc.). Blue Boy's best-known track remains "Remember Me," a soulful dance track which was based on the 1969 Marlena Shaw composition "Woman of the Ghetto," which was spotlighted as a remix on Mark Farina's original Mushroom Jazz compilation in 1996. |
