The World of Oz were a British psychedelic pop group who released a sole self-titled LP in 1968, before fading into relative obscurity, although CD re-issues of the album are now widely available. Their song 'The Muffin Man' was a minor hit in the UK and US, and reached the Top 10 in a number of European countries, including Holland and Belgium. Released singles (Holland): The Muffin Man b/w Peter's Birthday (1968); King Croeses (1968); The Willow's Harp (1969).
Not much is known about the World of Oz, we all know that the group were signed up to Deram, recorded three singles and an album and appeared on TV shows 'Beat Club' and 'Colour Me Pop'.
