Baby D is the name of a UK breakbeat hardcore and house music band, best known for their single "Let Me Be Your Fantasy", #1 on the UK Singles Chart in 1994.
The group was from Production House Records, founded in 1987 by Phil Fearon. The producer Floyd Dyce was involved heavily in the rave scene and published his works under several different names such as The House Crew, DMS, and Xstatic. Baby D was another voice to his compositions and was made up of singer (Baby D) Dee Galdes-Fearon and keyboardist and vocalist Terry Jones (MC Nino).

Early Singles 1991-1994 were underground hits. Two of them made it to the rear positions of the 75th UK Top. "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" was first published in 1992 and spent two years in the lower half of the unreleased Top 200 list with about 40,000 copies sold. It also reached number one for two weeks in the dance charts. In 1994 was re-released and spent two weeks in the top position. This time, sold about a quarter million copies.


Baby D has been involved with many other artists including ‘The Prodigy’ and featured on their ‘Music for a jilted generation’ album (1994) on the track ‘Break & Enter’, this track used a sample from Baby D’s casanova track.

The Prodigy then remixed this track in their own unique style and was released on the Casanova cd single as the 'Prodigy pump action' Remix and the limited edition 2CD ‘Deliverance’ album. Other artists Baby D has been involved with include The Ratpack, The Chemical Brothers and Goldie.

In summer 1995, Baby D reached number three with a rave version of the ballad "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" by The Korgis, which was renamed "I Need Your Loving". Other hits followed, and a top 5 album, "Deliverance".

Mobo award winner and dance sensation Baby D is one of the UK & Europes Biggest dance successes, with more than a million single sales worldwide and a chart topping #5 debut album ‘Deliverance’, 4 top hit singles ’ I need your loving ( Everybodys gotta learn sometime ) , ‘So Pure’, ‘Take me to heaven’ and the no.1 hit ‘Let me be your fantasy’ which stayed in the national charts for over 2 years and sold over in excess of 340,000 copies in its 1st week of release alone and peaked at the no.1 national chart position for 2 weeks on 24th Nov 1994.

Baby D has constantly been playing live since the band was formed at the beginning of the 90's and appear live all over the UK, Europe and Middle East including Spain, Poland, Cyprus, Germany, Greek islands and in 2010 Dubai, Performing live for events such as Global Gathering, Raveology, Kisstory, Dance island, Raindance, Epidemik, Earthquake, Radio 1 Live, Ministry of Sound, MTV’s Most Wanted and Moondance naming just a few.

In 2001 a bootleg remix of Let me be your fantasy was released feat. Mc Tails, This underground bootleg sold so well that It later went on to get an official release in the national charts once more entitled Baby D vs Trick or Treat FT Mc Tails in September 2001, Baby D and Mc Tails later appeared on BBC1's Top Of The Pops' when the Single entered the UK top 20.

In the summer of 2009 Baby D teamed up with DJ Carl Kennedy on the Wasted Youth Label to remix and re release the Bands No.1 hit ‘Let me be your fantasy’, This was a huge success and featured heavily on National radio and Club Playlists all across the UK and Europe Being one of the most requested remixes yet, DJ's including DJ Tiesto plugged this remix to the masses.

In 2011 Baby D Collaborated with 'Emalkay' on the Dubstep track, ' On and On ' . Now 2012 Baby D is currently working on new projects, Touring and working alongside the New Dance Pioneers " The Str8jackets", She has received unprecedented support from her fans both Newcomers and Original and Remains Music Industry Gold.
