Jim Lowe (born May 7, 1927), a native of Springfield, Missouri, USA and graduate of the University of Missouri, sang "The Green Door", the number-one hit song of 1956 in the United States. He later served as a disc jockey and radio host and personality, who has been considered an expert on the popular music of the 1940s and 1950s. His most notable run as a disk jockey was with WNEW AM in New York City. He retired in 2004 at the age of 81 and lives in New Jersey. |
