Ann was twenty when she cruses with the orchestra 'The Adams' through the Flanders. The drummer of the band, Marc Hoyois, becomes later her husband. Her first single ‘Kussen onder de regenboog’ is a flop. After a couple year she succeeds with manager Robert Bylois. Ann sings French songs, and tours with Adamo in France and Belgium.
1968: Ann Christy wins with Jacques Raymond and Nicole Josy Knokke-cup-songcontest. As from then Flanders knows Ann Christy, and rememers her looks. She is dressed by the fashion designer An Salens.
In ' 70 and ' 71 Ann participates in the preselections for the eurosongcontest. But it lasts until '75 before she can represent Belgium. With the song ‘Gelukkig zijn’ she obtains the 14th place in Stockholm.
In the years seventy Ann scored several hits among which ‘Ik neem vandaag de trein’ and ‘Dag vreemde Man’.
1978: Nobody less than bob Dylan writes numbers for Ann Christy: ` If I don't be there by morning ' and ` Walk out in the rain '.
In '80 Ann Christy covers the song `the rose' of Bette Middler. Johan Verminnen rewrites the text. It becomes a huge hit.
With Erik Van Neygen she tours the Flanders in 82, but then Ann Christy becomes seriously sick.
On 7 augusts 1984 she dies to the impact of cancer.

Ann is twintig als ze met het orkest ‘The Adams’ Vlaanderen doorkruist. De drummer van de band, Marc Hoyois, wordt later haar man. Haar eerste plaatje ‘Kussen onder de regenboog’ wordt een flop. Na een paar jaar lukt het wel met manager Robert Bylois. Ann zingt franse liedjes, en tourt met Adamo door Frankrijk en België.
1968: Ann Christy wint samen met Jacques Raymond en Nicole Josy de Knokke-cup-liedjeswedstrijd. Vanaf dan kent Vlaanderen Ann Christy, en ook haar look. Ze laat zich immers kleden door de hippie-ontwerpster An Salens.
In ’70 en ’71 doet Ann mee aan de preselecties voor het eurovisiesongfestival. Maar het duurt tot ’75 alvorens ze ons land mag vertegenwoordigen.
