Nashville’s Caryl Mack Parker is a nationally renowned recording artist, songwriter and vocalist. The Abilene, Texas native left home and followed her musical heart throughout the Western U.S. performing over 300 dates a year. She and husband, Scott eventually settled in Portland, Oregon where they were heavily influenced by the organic, musical sounds of the Pacific Northwest and honed their songwriting skills.
While living in Portland, Caryl released her first independent album, "Smoke & Mirrors", with the AAA radio single "First Day of Forever." After generating significant independent buzz, sold-out live dates, and major-market radio airplay, offers from major publishers and record labels soon followed. Caryl and Scott moved to Nashville in 1994, and began to put down musical roots in Music City USA.
Shortly after arriving, Caryl was offered a record deal on Magnatone Records. Her self-titled album, "Caryl Mack Parker" garnered critical praise from such publications as Billboard Magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and Music Row Magazine.
Throughout the late 90's her music was subsequently added on over 130 major-market radio stations, with multiple Adult-Alternative and Country-Radio singles including: "Better Love Next Time;" "One Night Stand;" and "Good to be Me." She was a featured guest on broadcast networks such as Sony Worldwide, After-Midnight, TNN and Huntsman Broadcasting. Her videos were in heavy "Hot-Shot" rotations on CMT and GAC, and she was a 3x guest on Prime Time Country.
Her multi-faceted talents as an artist, accompanist, songwriter and session vocalist have taken her throughout the globe, appearing with many of the world’s top artists, including: Trisha Yearwood, Patty Loveless, James Otto, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Kevin Welch, Jude Cole, Susan Ashton, Kim Hill, Ashley Cleveland, John David Webster, Will Hoge, and others.
Caryl is married to songwriter/producer/publisher, Scott Parker. They are raising 2 beautiful kids, and various wildlife, on 8 acres outside of Nashville. Their Nashville studio, Dead Aunt Thelma's, has also been the long-time home for recording artists such as Brad Paisley, Josh Turner, Daryl Worley, and many other Nashville artists.
After taking a sabbatical to focus on family, Caryl is returning with an extraordinary new album, "Rancho Divine." This compilation of 10 previously unreleased, "cherry-picked," studio recordings from the past decade, features a who’s who of Nashville’s finest musicians and songwriters.
