Carol Chase

Singer/songwriter Carol Chase was born in Minot North Dakota, where she got her start singing in the local church choir. She attended the University of North Dakota and performed with a variety of local bands at the clubs and coffee houses in and around Stanley, North Dakota.

Later she moved to Los Angeles where she became a much sought after jingle singer for such companies as McDonalds, Nescafe and milk. She was background singer for such artists as Lee Greenwood, Charlie Rich, Hank Williams Jr, Olivia Newton-John, Debby Boone, Tanya Tucker and others. She sang on the movie soundtrack LP for "Every Which Way But Loose" a song called "I Can't Say No To A Truck Drivin' Man." Was a backvocalist on the GREASE Soundtrack album in 1978. She recorded a duet with Steve Wariner titled You Make It Feel So Right. Carol has also recorded a duet with Lee Greenwood on his 1990 CD A Perfect 10 titled Looking At A Sure Thing.

Carol was the theme singer for the second season of the early 1980s TV series Harper Valley PTA. Which was based on the 1978 film Harper Valley PTA starring Barbara Eden.

Carol was the first artist signed to 1970s Disco label Casablanca Records new subsidiary Casablanca West in 1979 where she promptly recorded two albums for them. Each released within 6 months of each other. She has recorded numerous singles on Janus Records, Showdown Records and MCA Records. As much as Carol loves to sing, she may be known more for being a songwriter, having written songs for major artists and as a backup vocalist, having arranged and performed on many hit records. She has been a demo singer, making the demo records BMI or ASCAP uses to publish songs.

Carol Chase is well educated, well rounded singer. Able to sing any style asked of her!
She is also a part of The LYNYRD SKYNYRD Band where she performs background vocals on tour and on their current CD's.
